Our offices are currently closed for the Easter and Southland Anniversary Day break.  You can still place your order online and your tea will be dispatched when we reopen on Wednesday 3rd April.

Can I add milk to black tea?

Buy Tea

Some of our black teas are really well suited to milk. A hearty way to start your day would be to brew a strong cup of Hearty Breakfast which can take milk nicely. Another good option is English Breakfast, other black teas are considered self drinkers (no milk recommended) such as the Darjeeling. If you are adding milk we recommend a generous measure of tea, brewed with boiling water and a large serving of patience – let it steep for at least 4 minutes. Don't forget to warm your teapot first to maintain the heat of water as high as possible during the steeping process.
