A key theme tabled at the World Tea Expo presentation which I attended in June 2013 on Tea and Health is that tea research is bolstering the folk lore properties of tea. Tea is a natural, renewable product that acts as a preventative in health conditions – think of each cup as a deposit in your wellness bank account.

Three or more cups of tea daily have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease. Preliminary research suggests that tea can assist in cancer risk reduction. Studies show tea drinkers have higher bone mineral density compared to non tea drinkers.
